With SportVU data, we break down Thursday night's playoff triple header, with a closer look at Kevin Durant's continued struggles against Memphis, DeMarre Carroll's defense on Paul George and Blake Griffin exploiting the Warriors' defense.
Kevin Durant again struggled when matched up against Memphis' perimeter defenders, shooting 3-for-13 when facing either Allen, Prince or Lee.
Marc Gasol got rolling in Game 3 of the series and did most of his damage when defended by Serge Ibaka.
Courtney Lee put together an excellent defensive performance in Game 3 when defending Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant.

Paul George continued to be successful in the half-court when defending Jeff Teague, holding him to 0-for-4 shooting in 4:39, but still allowed five drives.
DeMarre Carroll has shown the ability to be an impactful defender versus Paul George. In Game 3, Carroll held George to 0-of-6 shooting in 11:56 of match up time. Carroll shadowed George for 76% of his defensive time in the half court.
Kyle Korver found space and success against George Hill in Game 3. In 5:38 of matchup time, Korver was 4-for-5 from the field and 2-of-3 from downtown, scoring 10 points.
Luis Scola was much more efficient and aggressive when defended by Mike Scott than Pero Antic.

Blake Griffin had an outstanding performance in Game 3 versus the Warriors, doing most of his damage in the half court. The Warriors used two primary defenders to try to slow him down, Draymond Green and David Lee.

Even though Klay Thompson had an excellent game scoring 26 points, he struggled in the half court when matched up against Matt Barnes. In 6:31 of matchup time he shot 2-of-6 from the field and 1-of-5 from three while scoring five points.
Andre Iguodala shadowed JJ Redick for 7:47 in the half court and held him to 0-of-3 shooting and 0-for-1 from behind the arc for zero points. He was not as successful against Jamal Crawford in 3:33 of matchup time. Crawford went 2-for-4 and 1-for-3 from three, totaling five points.
