SportVU Matchup Data: NBA Finals, Game 5
The 2013-14 NBA season came to an end on Sunday night as the San Antonio Spurs defeated the Miami Heat in Game 5 to win The Finals four games to one. Throughout the Playoffs we've examined defensive matchup statistics from SportVU and do so one last time with the top matchups from San Antonio's title-clinching win.
Kawhi Leonard defending LeBron James
Kawhi Leonard had his best performance of the series in his individual matchup with LeBron James on the defensive end in Game 5, where James shot just 1-of-3. The rest of the team along with Boris Diaw persisted in their struggles in guarding James, allowing 21 of James' total 25 half-court points.

Tony Parker vs. LeBron James
Tony Parker applied pressure on LeBron James defensively last night, with six of his game-high 10 drives coming against LeBron. In Game 5 alone, Tony Parker had nearly as many touches and as much matchup time against James than he had in the previous four games combined.

Spurs attack Udonis Haslem
Udonis Haslem played sparingly against the Spurs in The Finals, and when he was in the game the Spurs looked to attack him defensively. Haslem allowed 10 points over 10 minutes last night, struggling on both the interior against Tim Duncan and against perimeter players on switches.
