Hibbert has been matched up against the Millsap and Antic duo for nearly 80% of his total time playing half-court defense which has been causing fits for him on the defensive end. Both have displayed the ability to take and make 3 pointers to draw Hibbert out of the lane, and Millsap's quickness had led to opportunities for him to attack the basket from the perimeter.
|Paul Millsap||Pero Antic|
|Total Def Time||36:39||36:39|

James Harden leads all players in the playoffs with 41 3-point attempts, but has shot just 19% on these shots in the half court. While shooting well below 50% regardless of who has defended him, he has greatly struggled when the Trail Blazers frontcourt has been contesting his shot, shooting just 2-of-17 (12%) when guarded by someone other than Matthews, Lillard, or Williams.
The matchup of Williams and Lowry has been one of the more entertaining point guard battles of the first round, with Williams taking the challenge of matching up with one of the best point guards in the NBA for nearly 70% of the time in defensive half-court sets. To this point, Williams has the upper hand, nearly matching Lowry's output in shots made and points despite covering Lowry for over twice the amount of time that Lowry has guarded Williams on defense.
The Memphis Grizzlies have stifled one of the NBA's most potent offensive attacks by forcing contested shots for two of the best scorers in the league. This is reflected in their primary matchups to this point in the series, where the Grizzlies have been successful regardless of their defender.
|T. Allen||T. Prince|
|C. Lee||M. Conley|
Despite finishing the season just outside the top 15 players in the NBA in both drives per game and points derived from drives per game, Conley leads all players thus far in both categories with 48 drives and 40 points from drives. Among the three players that have defended him at least 5 minutes in the half court, Thabo Sefolosha has done the best in limiting his ability to penetrate.

Poss: Possessions are when the offensive player attempts a shot, the ball is stolen, or draws a foul leading to FTAs|
Stop: Stops are when the offensive player either misses a shot or the ball is stolen
Notable among the top players in Stop% with at least 10 FGAs against are David West, who has been effective against a big (Antic) and a guard (Teague), and Kevin Durant, who appears twice on the list with Prince and Allen both creating issues for him on the offensive end.
