Getting Mileage Out of Carmelo

While it is common to see a rise in usage rate for star players in the playoffs, the Knicks' Carmelo Anthony has held an unprecedented usage rate for the past two months to lead New York to the postseason and into the second round. How long can he keep it going?

Playing With Fire

After 44 points from Stephen Curry in Game 1 and 34 points from Klay Thompson on 8-of-9 3FGM in Game 2, Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said it was polite that the Warriors' sharpshooters at least take turns and were not both on fire on the same night. That got us thinking of how often that's happened.

Deja Vu

On March 27, the Chicago Bulls ended the Miami Heat's 27-game winning streak thanks in large part to their efforts on the defensive end of the floor. Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals had a similar look to that March 27 contest, and the same result.
